Need some help:

I recently started making jigs,well,I have been doing it off and on for a while now.Mostly just grub jigs,no hair like you guys do.But I am starting now,went out and got a bunch of things last night.Before I venture into that.I have some 5 oz. Flutter jigs that I am trying to paint.They are about 5" long and 1/2" wide.How can I powder paint them?I have tried a bunch of them and the powder paint fills up the eye at one end.They are about 1/4" thick and is hard to get the paint on evenly.Dip them in a what.I know that there is a simple solutionBut it seems like I can't keep them under control when I flip them to do the other side and drop them or they get too much paint on them.????

Sounds like you might need a fluid bed ??

Radtexan is correct. A fluid bed will solve many problems for you. You have two choices. Build one yourself ( I can email you the plans....PM me your e-mail) or you can buy one for about $60 complete out of the box. I do not sell them, but I can refer you to someone.

Fluid bed for sure, will make things a lot easier and cleaner. As for the eyes sockets, scrape them out right after you dip them. They should stay clean after you reheat them or bake them to cure them.

Azslabber – You might try brushes or a hobby PP spray gun. Think Columbia coatings has one on their site or try lurecraft.com. Cadman also has a tutorial on using brushes and I think TJ has a video for doing spoons on his website. Tacklemaking.com has a link for TJ.
