trolling motor noise
i've got a nearly new power drive thats making some noise. i have the rubber feet between the deck and mount. do they get better once the brushes round off? i'm sure i'm getting tranfer noise to the water. its a hum at anything over 3. did a test saturday to see if the fish were hearing this thing. seem to catch more drifting over them than when the trolling motor was on. it could have been speed but i don't think so. any ideas on this or has anyone had same problem. thanks.

If you are using those rubber well plugs they have a tendancy to work loose after a while. Try tightening them up. Also pull the prop and check for fishing line wrapped around inside.

thanks for the tips. i think i might also try and put a rubber mat between the trolling motor and the mount itself.

a big yes on pulling the prop,i had fishing line to get on mine this year an the noise was really, bad,i thought it was a goner, after cutting the mono off of it with a razor blade,it was fine,it was hard to get off ,
