Gold Creek

Thanks to Dano at Gold Creek... a new battery, some Jigs and then some nice Crappie. Caught a limit....20...the pond and pads were the place...big un's were deep...about 8 fow. Char. jigs and crappie nibblets sure helped. Low and slow...just like smokin briskets. I will be back...thanks again Dano.

I didn't have the same luck, but several folks did today. I saw several limits and several mediocre catches. The pond was on fire today, if you could get to the fish.:D When we say pond, we mean pond... If you were to get up on plane, you have about 5 seconds to shut down or you're gonna land in someone's yard.:eek:

Congratulations on the catch today, I did poorly, but concentrated on the lillies with jigs. The crappie I did catch was on jigs, in the pond, tipped with Crappie Bites. Big fat ugerly white grub seemed to do the trick.

I thought I would have been there by now. I am taking the whole week off next week. I will see you then Dan. My wife don't understand the plywood that is covering where her rotten back door used to be. CrappiePro mentioned training her for me one time. I am still waiting to find out when so I can start selling tickets.

9:30 am 2 men just came out with their limit,hope there not trying to get greedy!Game & Fish have been in here checking.

My weekends have been very busy lately - I'll be there this Saturday for sure! Hopefully you have enough parking now that the word is out.

I'm beginning to wonder if anyone fishes anywhere on Lake Conway other than Gold Creek. I've only fished the lake once about 30 to 31 years ago and have no idea what part of the lake I was on. We did catch a nice mess of bream.

today was good early saw 4 limits,had a couple of guys complaining about fellers taking more than their limit.

Thanks for the info Dano. If true, their greed will catch up with them one of these days. It's a shame some folks think rules apply to everyone but them.
