Gold Creek Report 10-17-09

The pond gave up two limits of crappie on minnows this morning before the bite turned slow and the wind picked up. No pics, as I wasn't one of the lucky ones.

Dan did his best to tell me where to catch em and what to use, but despite our best efforts, they had lock jaw after about 9:00AM. I did catch several yellow bass and a few speckled bass of some sort or another (damn carp!), but the paper mouths were not cooperating.

I spoke to several folks out there and they were slowly catching them in the creek in the lillies on minnows under bobbers close to the top, but my bobber must have smelled like Crisco to them, and they were not taking my minners.

Nice day, if you didn't freeze the boys off and the wind didn't blow you to perdition.

Dan went out of his way for me today and all I can say is, Dan on Gold Creek is a good man. Thanks again Dan.

hey fish i picked up 8- 11 inchers at that first clump of pads 1 hr before dark.2 other guys picked up a mess in the afternoon but it was a slow bite with spurts.

Dan, are those pads in the pool, creek, or the flats out in front of you.

What do you think about spider rigging on the edge of these pads?

have been inthe creek pads and the pool they are holding 1-7ft saw 4 limits today
