Gold Creek/High Muddy Water Battle/10-14-09

Fished Gold Creek agian, it was a hard battle on the lake today. High muddy water everywhere. Morning started great with four slabs off the bat in pads at the I-40 bridge on a solid Chart tube. Then it became harder and harder to put a keeper in the boat throughout the day. At about noon I had ten fish boated five of which were nice fish. From noon to 4PM only caught 2 more keepers. I made a switch to a black and Chart tube and caught 5 decent fish between 4PM and 6PM, in the pads on the east side before you get to the iron bridge. It was a day in which i worked my tail off to get 17 quality bites/fish and missed two good keepers. Its should get real good in the next few days after this water clears up and the water falls abit. I have got to ask. most of your pic of your fish are in your kitchen. do you clean them in there and if so how the heck do you keep from making a mess:confused: My wify would kill me if i cleaned fish in the kitchen...well come to think of it if i actually caught crappie she probably wouldn't care where the hell i cleaned um.
my outboard is still down, but when i get home tonight think i am gona charge the battery up and just go with Trolling motor. sounds liek the fish are close to the launch.

I am very careful when cleaning and sweep the floor and wipe the table down after cleaning. My wife dont mind cleaning in the kitchen and she even helps me clean them. My true soal mate :)

Gold Creek is a great place to fish with just a TM, fish bridge and pads along creek channel. hope to see ya out there.
