Just wondering how many on here fish at Nimrod.
I only fished one time, my boat motor water pump went out and I had water in the fuel. Salvaged day by puting in river and using trolling motor, threw out some noodles and caught a couple of 6 lb cats, bass fished a little and caught a couple.
I have and will again, Nim. I haven't been up this year yet due to trailer problems, but I really enjoy fishing the river and the lake. Pretty country going upstream there and good fishing on the lake.
Don't know where Nimrod is, but a few more posts like the ones I have been reading about Nimrod and I will be digging out the GPS unit and heading in that direction.
Haven't fished it in the last several years, but use to take a weeks vacation the second week in april and stay up there the whole week. At one time if there ever was a honey hole or Crappie heaven on earth, Nimrod was it. Due to water control, the fishing went south and I quit going over as it was not worth it. It has had and I'm sure still does have some good Crappie fishing. Memories are sure great for past times. I might even venture over this next spring and try it again..:):)
Well Pastor, here's a map to save you some time looking, LOL. You can look at the driving directions by doing a Google Maps search on cotton valley, la to fourche junction, ar
Takes your right up Hwy 7 which is a scenic road and one of the prettiest drives for hundreds of miles around. AND, you're only about 200 miles from Nimrod which puts it well within your reach, I would venture to guess.
We always welcome our friends from LA here in AR. We did after two hurricanes and still do. No hurricane required. Come fishing, Pastor. You'll be glad you did.
