Okay guys, every year I get the fever for a new depthfinder. Now both of my 60 dollar eagles are KAPOOT, so I have to replace with something.
I was thinking of putting a HB 383C on the front trolling motor and later interlinking with a sidescan on the back.
Called HB support and they said that nothing but a 700, 900, or 1100 series would interlink together.
Is this right, I thought that Cabelas seemed to indicate that interlink would connect more????

Customer Service is correct. Only the 700,800,900 & 1100 Series will connect to the Interlink.
I have a 797 and a matrix 27 linked . Works fine
My Matrix 97 better work. As on humminbirds Website it shows it on the list.
If not I guess it may be a buy back. LOL

The was thinking current line products. The Matrix line will also support Interlink.
Let me guess, I bought a new Matrix 97 and its now not made anymore? Just my luck. Sure wish I would have seen that before shelling out $600+ for it.But I hope its like all the other humminbirds I have bought and used over the last 25 years. Only had to send one back for work. Been hearing that all too often when it comes to Fish Finders, GPS, computers & most electronic products. Its are throw away society, designed by the manufacturers to keep you buying..............
Just get a 718 or 728 for up front. They are both great units.
