Greeson trip
I arrived Thursday about 2. After scouting the available camping spots between Daisy and Kirby, I finally chose one that I figured everyone that was to come later would gripe the least about. To my surprise, everyone was Ok with the spot I chose. Then I went to look up Darryl or Jerry. I found Darryl piled up in his trailer. He put me onto a spot where my group wore some huge bream out. We had 3 that went in the 3/4 lbs range. Caught 57 all together.
I can't say enough about the work these two have done on this lake. I fished other pots that I found on my own too. But, I knew who put them there. Look them up if you ever need a guide.
My wife and I wanted to do some exploring on the way home. We turned north at Glenwood and headed toward Mount Ida. From there we headed on back through Hot Springs. I blew a tire about the Twin Springs turn off. You will never guess who pulled up after I got it changed....
The one and only Gooch!! I think he was sitting back watching me work before he came up and said "Hello". He said we were all invited to his house for a party. But, he didn't say when.

Guess you didn't try dragin any Bandits on Greason?
I have been way down in South Texas on detail for the last 28 days, got home about 7 pm tonight. I stoped at the Bass Pro Shop in Garland, TX and picked up a couple more Bandits, looking foward to trying them if I can ever get a day off.
Looked at a Lowrance HDS-5, nice, about twice my budget.
I was wondering did you catch the bream on jigs or crickets or worms? Well let me re-ask that "What did ya catch em with"?

I guess I left you hanging again. My wife and the coucelor tell me I don't communicate so well. She dosn't know much about fishing and racing anyway; so, I bet it is difficult for her.:D
I tried trolling and all I caught was little crappie and bass. Finnaly, I bought some minnows and spider rigged/hovered over some boo piles in about 30' of water. I caught 2 pretty nice Kentuckies fishing about 14'. I spent one morning with Darryl and we got ran off of one spot by the bream. I went back to that spot with my crew and some crickets the next morning. I didn't use corks, I used 1/2 egg sinkers over swivels and 4lbs leaders. I use this technique on Quachita too. It races the cricket through the little ones before they can steal it. We were still fishing around 14'. I brought home about a gallon of fillets. Over half of it was the bream.
BTW
I wasn't quite leagle with my life preservers when The man stopped me. I don't know how I get by with that one. All He checked my liscense, live well and ice chest and said I looked like a striper fisherman then let me go. I have about 20 preservers at home. I won't make that mistake again.
