good day on the water... no fishing though

I spent Sunday morning working on the "Miss Aadventures of Matt and his Worthless Boat Motor", the movie script is coming together nicely.

All kidding asside I got my motor running and went out to the lake to see how she would do on the water. She fired right up, and ran fine for about 15 seconds, then started backfiring. I had new gas, and decided to drain the carb bowl and see if water from old gas had accumulated there. Sure enough, that fixed the problem. She ran like a champ. I finally got to sink the condos I had made 2 weeks ago in 12 and 13 fow. I am going to make some more this week, and hopefully get them out next week (after the holiday traffic).

I am feeling good about my self recently too from finally doing some stuff to my boat that has been bugging me. After owning mine for 11 years, I finally have all of the loose stuff stowed under straps rather than blowing all around in the bottom.
Also, the motor quit peeing. This has been an on-going problem ever since I purchased it brand new. I don't know how many pumps I have paid to put on it. A few weeks ago I decided I was going to get to the bottom of it and started messing with it. I discovered it was an intermitant problem and reasoned trash or debris was the culprit. So, I cranked up my air compressor and blew backwards in the hole. It squirted great at first but, then plugged up again. I repeated the process until it remained a free flowing stream. Now, it has a stream that would make any old man proud.
I DO NOT RECOMEND THE PROCEDURE ON PAW PA NEXT TIME YOU CATCH HIM WIGGELING IN FRONT OF A URINAL THOUGH!!:eek::eek:
