Aqua Jigs

I googled the many different types of shad in the surrounding lakes and plan to tie a few jigs to mimic the coloration as closely as possible. Found a strand of shiner that has a nice aqua shade to it. Anyone ever tied one this color with marabou or hair? Could anyone share a pic?!:D

Now don't take this as one like you talk about, but you can tie using this marabou as a mid strip thing...

That's the color skip. I may try a strip of that with white and some holographic tinsel. Thanks

It's Turquoise and is said to be the color you can see best of all!

Is it marabou feathers? And is there any way you can tell me how I can get my hands on the mini marabou feathers if so? My order guy doesn't carry them.

THEY AREN'T MINI FEATHERS. THEY ARE JUST PULLED FROM A PLUME.
YOU CAN ORDER THEM FROM FROM BARLOWS TACKLE. THEY HAVE A WEB SITE. THERE ARE ALSO SEVERAL OTHER WEB SITES THAT SELL THEM.

Yeah I was just wondering if they made that color in the mini dubbing feather. Just easier to tie personally. I'll give Barlow's a look, thanks for the help.

You get better action from the marabou if you pull it off the stem and then just make them how ever long you want and cut the end that was attached.
