Well, we made it back alive. LOL
Started off at 2 Am and headed south to the Coast. We got down there about 6 and got 150 live shrimp then headed out to Katrina reef. It was a little choppy but not bad and me knowing they said the wind was gonna die down and the seas get pretty flat, I was feeling good. We fished from the Northwest end of Katrina down to about 2/3's of the was down to the Southeast on the South side and only picked up 1 white trout and a few catfish. OKKKKKKKKK, To heck with this so we eased out towards Horn and then headed what we thought was due West to Ship Island. Word of Advise here, NEVER LET SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT A GPS WATCH IT. Seems the person I had watching my map didn't notice the antenna had fallen on the floor of the boat. UMMMMM, By the time I got worried about us not being at Ship yet and checked, we were half way to the Chandeliers. You'll see on the pics how far we went out. LOL Anyways, we got straightned out and headed back to East Ship where we got out and fished abit. Caught a few cats and missed a few SOMETHINGS. I did have one scare though. I'm deathly afraid of SHARKS and had a 5 footer some within 10 feet of me, scared me to death and I was screaming like a little girl I'm sure. LOL Headed over to West Ship and the fort area where we fished abit and chilled out some. Seas were slick out at Ship Island out of the wind, ABSOLUTLY GORGIOUS. Good time but still no fish to speak of besides a school of lady fish which I got to catch one of my 4 wt flyrod. talk about FUN WOWWWW. Whoever gives out the forcast for the wind and seas, needs to be SHOT. THeir going to get someone killed one day with their forecast. Seas were SUPPOSED to die down to nothing but NOOOOOOO, We were coming back from Ship in what had to be 3 foot seas, talk about a newbie gripping a steering wheel. LOL My hands STILL locked up now. Didn't catch much but the Maiden Voyage was a total blast. We did talk to a few people down at the boat ramp and I know now where to get into some Rat Reds and some trout the next time down. Nice folks we talked to at the ramp and gave us some good advise for
the next trip.

LOL, yeh, got the entire boat washed up yesterday and
the motor ran for about 15 minutes to flush it out. Still trying to the the GPS working that came with the boat. nce I get that working correctly, I'll mount mine up front where I want it. have to have it where I can move it around right now so it's not mounted YET
Haven't figured out whats wrong with the OTHER GPS
yet. once I do, I'll get it all in order
LOL Patrick, working on the GPS that came with the boat
One of two things is happening. Either there's a loose wore on it OR it just don;t work. I've fooled with it a few tiomes and least I got the fish finder working but can't get the GPS to going. Until then, I'll have to leave mine moveable. I have got a few of the brackets for the rod holders and I'll get them installed this weekend. Have them ready for Labor day
