BnM is what we use. I like the crappie wizard by BnM.
I use all three you have mentioned. The Capps and Coleman's are light action and are great for when the bite is light and short but they get to be a bit bouncy when the waves get up. The Wally Marshall tightline specials are medium-heavy action and are great for pulling crankbaits or "power trolling" with heavy weights. I might use them if I know the wind and waves are going to be bad because they don't "bounce" as much. They won't show a real light bite when spider rigging though. The B&M ProStaffs are right in between those two and are the perfect "all around" rod. Those are the ones I do most of my spider rigging with. If I had to pick just one rod it would definitely be the ProStaffs....you can't go wrong with those. Get them in 16 ft lengths to get away from the boat and TM and use a good open face spinning reel with drag set light and 6# line. I also highly recommend the Hitec rodholders.
I use the WM Universal and I love them
listen to LUVPT! He knows what fer he speaks of! I use BnM's myself and they will catch fish! :D
wm tightlines and bee ready rod holders
Now that us newbies now what poles to use...what would a typical jig and minner setup look like as far as hooks, weights, etc...? Thanks in advance.
Do a yahoo lookup on a capps and coleman rig. You will get all kinds of video.
