Man ive tried to think of a name for this bruiser we have been killing the crappie on lake Tawakonie on this crappie jig, Its one of my own Hand Tied crappie jigs that i have been working on for quite some time. The colors have been good for the stained water we have been fishing in not bad for a hand tied jig!

Can't help with a name... but Nice looking jig!
Been fishing that color combo since the mid 1970's and I call mine my Christmas jig. Not a new thing at all.
Posted this color on this board a long time back and told of it's good catching abilities and if I remember right Fatman pointed out that I said that this color has been catching them for this long.

Just wandering because ill be adding this color to our stores at Sportsmans Warehouse it seems to be working for everybody else so i think ill use it in our color schemes, ben working wanders for us on Lake Tawakone and lake lavon, all in all its a good jig and should do very well for us :cool:Quote:

I do have a question..... I've seen you post a few jigs in the past, they all seem to have a bigger (wider) chenille body than head and do cover the jig head some. Is there a reason you do it this way or just simply for your own look?? I do notice you can not see where you tie off your thread, must sink in behind the chenille??
Quality does look great!! I hardly use any bright colors, nearly all my local lakes are pretty clear or slightly green tinted. White, grey, black, gold & silver are my bread & butter.
That is a good looking jig. How about "Gidget" It is tempting, sexy and forbidden. Crappies will love it.
