I have a 798 on my boat that I remove everytime I finish fishing. It's becoming hard to remove from the base, and I'm wondering if there is a lube I can use to help. I'm afraid if I don't do something soon, I will damage the unit.

I use this stuff on all my electrical connections, even coat the fuses in the fuse panels and also the in line fuses. It prevents corrosion. If you are out fishing and your hems start to hurt, it will also ease the pain.(JK) Be sure to use it on your nav light too.
Hmm... Never heard of the hemorrhoidal application for dielectrical grease! But if them thing are hurtin' I can see where you would rub anything on em to get some relief!:confused:
Thanks! I couldn't remember what that stuff was called and wasn't sure it was ok on plastic.
I have a dedicated holder for my nav light.. and I would think that removing the nav light would relieve the pressure and pain in your hems.Quote:
