That Model number is hard to see.
"25 E-25" and the Serial number starts with "H-57nnnn"
When I was looking for the Model number I discovered why this thing came into my possession along with a boat full of junk.
Someone has removed the foot-stomp switch.:mad: The Bracket, screws, switch and all are gone. :(Wires are cut.
That switch must have failed and the guy intended to get a replacement....That was years ago though. Now I gotta figure out what to do next.
Any ideas?
Lots of those motors(I have one too) are obsolete and parts hard to find. Try and find one you can scavenge parts from. Craigs list mebbe? Mine has low hours and works good. Dream replacement is about a grand. Hope mine lasts a while.

I think....since I cant find a braket that will hold that momentary switch in place, that I'll make a piece of stainless and use a Starter button or an old Dimmer switch down there.
What do you think of that idea?

Thud, saw one of those motors for sale on Nashville area craigslist. I would use a marine starter button instead of a dimmer switch, no loud click. Good luck.

I remember the first 'Key switch' I saw and thought it was remarkable to say the least.

One of the things I like best is evening fishing in the quiet shadows. Quiet being the watchword.
I guess I'll see whats available and then use the best quality I can come up with. I'm still looking for the 'right stuff' because a lot of those old motors are still kicking, meaning the original switch was a good'un and if dead, then maybye I can find somebody who'll donate the bracket and switch from the dead one.
