I made another contribution on Lake Ouachita :D
I got started a bit early with the heat and all. Notice that I'm the ONLY boat on the water--and this is Mountain Harbor! Now I REALLY like that.

So once out of the harbor, I reckon you can see I'm headed east. How's THAT for a beautiful sight????

So, after an hour of positioning at first 20 ft and then 30, I dropped two at each location. After wrestling them into the water(I was by me lonesome), here's the 20-foot result.

You can tell that I 'stacked 'em :( 'cause you can distinctly see one on its side.
Nevertheless, they should be ripe in a few days and j u s t r i g h t this fall. :D
When I can't get 'em to dance I just build a new dance floor. When the goin' gets tough, the tough plant condos. <><

I did something quite out of the ordinary for me. I SPLURGED; plopped down a chunk-a change and bought that 21-footer for the express intent of staying on the lake in some relative comfort.
Turns out, Ms V, my wife, likes it just as much so she and her cronies can tool around the lake whenever they wish. She handles the boat AND trailer like a pro. I'm glad she likes it.
She's mainly a summertime lake person, but me, well, I'm a three-day-a-week lake person except for the hottest days of the year.
We really enjoy the unit. It's just right for "ole' man fishin'.' After 40 years of working, I can relax a little, praise the good Lord. Now, if I could just find the summer haunts of the Ouachita crappie, I'd be doin' alright! :D

I have got to find me some more of that fiber optic cable that has been replaced. That stuff is a bit flexible and will last forever! I stripped the fiber optic stuff out of the middle and cut the outside PVC-like skin in 4-6 foot lengths.
I got a whole truck load of the stuff (as much as I could carry) and this is the last of it all.
Wifey was happy to see it out of the side yard  and I was glad to see em on the bottom of the lake!!
They should be ready in a few weeks.
