Kids got me a HB 565 for fathers day, which is one of the units I was looking at. Question, do you all think I should go back and trade it for the HB 718, or keep the 565. Not sure if I will ever utilize the GPS in case I want to spend the extra $'s. Not real savy on tech stuff.
I'm not real savy on the tech stuff either, but if I had to do somethings over I would add GPS to my unit. I find myself using a hand held unit more and more, it's an older unit and I don't think it's as accurate as some of the newer stuff.
I'm finding most of this stuff isn't all that hard to use, you probably just need someone to show you how the first time or two.
I run a 717 which is almost the same as the 718 and like it alot! I can't tell you anything about 565 other than several guys run them and like them pretty good too! If you have an Academy around I saw that they have a Lowrance 522 combo for $399 which I think is a darn good deal!
Can't connect interlink to 565 if that is a future thought.
You can not add Interlink to any of the 500 series unit only the 700 Series and up.
