only advice i can give is don't buy lowrance
will keep that in mind thanks for replying
I wouldn't own anything but Lowrance. That is a good TM but strange they don't mention that its a 24V motor.
which fishfinder do u recomond for the price range i in and My boat can switch between 12v and 24v by a switch
I have a 788C and LOVE IT. I also have a 797SI that I would trade for another 788C. I'm not a fan of Internal GPS. I'll always wire the GPS puck to be as close to the transducer as possible. I like to think that I'm accurate when I mark stuff.
Does it really matter if your puck is over your transducer? I mean, when you mark the spot on the gps, it's still going to read the same if your puck is next to the unit or over the transducer. If the puck doesn't change positions, why would the spot be diffrent on the unit? Do you get what i mean or do i need to try to explain it a little better? Help me understand the diffrence please.
I use H-Birds and Lowrance...I like them both. I have been thinking about the H-Bird SI unit but still undecided because of all the controversy.
The spot's not moving is it? And it's still in the same place on your screen. What diffrence does it make what direction you're coming from? The spot is marked. Your gps setup hasn't changed. You get on the mark, you should be on the mark.
