Do-It came forward with what they call the bat jig this year and it is a doozie. Multiple sizes in the mold....1/32, 1/24, 1/16, 3/32, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4. All take the #6 Wacky hook that Do-It sells. The concept of the forward eye on these heads is great but the size 6 hook in the larger couple sizes didn't sit well with me so I did a little hocus-pocus stuff and now have the mold able to handle the larger #2 wacky hook. The 2 larger head sizes are great for walleye and since they are a swimming style head, NOBODY else has them.I'm likin that aspct.
Here's a picture showing the 1/24 and 1/4 so you can see the hook size difference.
I used 1/16 and 1/32 ball- heads cast on wacky hooks all last fall with super success. The swimming action your plastic attains on these heads with the wacky hook is incredible and the fish were darned quick to support the concept. I'll never use another conventional jig while casting and retrieving swimming type plastics again. The new head design will be a dynamite walleye head for casting shallow water with swim plastics for the walleyes.
