It most definitely darkens. I'll have to play around with it some more when I get more heads. I also need to pick up a thermometer to see where my oven is on temperature. I have a sneaky suspicion that it is running much hotter than the dial indicates.

Just the regular posted method - but if you don't have an in-oven thermometer you really need to get one!!! They do help!!
I picked up a thermometer at Wally-World and checked my oven and the finding's were enlightening. I checked each temp twice and the result was within a few degrees with both checks. First I checked 350 (where I've been curing everything) and the thermometer read more than 425 both times. Then I backed off to 250 and checked there twice. Both times it was just over 300 degrees. then I tested 300 degrees and both times the reading was just shy of 350. So, I have my dial set at about 280 (+/-) and I'll cure for 15-20 minutes for most everything I paint.Quote:
