I use testers or what ever it is model paint. I let first coat dry over night then second coat same. Then set oven down to 150 and bake about 30 minutes. No runs.

Yep, I do it like Cray but bake at 250. I think I will try going a lil cooler on temp but like the 30 minutes. Eyes don't run but if I paint them too heavy or 3 color they tend to slide down sometimes. Usually on greens or black colors.

Oh, the paint I use is ACE rust stop oil based paint. Kinda pricey but makes super eyes.

I'd have to go in the basement and look, but its regular jig paint they sell at tackle shops. I cut the point off a nail the diameter i want and file it off flat. I dip that in the paint and then just lightly touch it on the head. Hold it still just a moment then stick it in some styrofoam so that the eye is more or less up. I just do a few, then when the first one is dry I start on the other side. It makes a perfect little round eye just a hair bigger than the nail as the paint spreads just a smidge.

Take a sharp nail and paint a little thin red line like a gill behind the eye on some of em....they like that.

A buddy told me about the CS paint pens and you just clear powder coat over them and oven cure as normal.
