Off the Schnide This Year
Well, I posted in the Panfish topics my success/failure yesterday. I got two very nice pans on my U/L setup with a chartreuse/black trout magnet. The second was my favorite of all pans, a long ear with most of her colors. I don’t catch many of those so it was a treat for sure. Now the bad part. I drove away without my rod and when I got back it was gone. I checked around throughly but someone got a nice $100 dollar outfit. I will go to the ranger station today, bu5 I know my stupidity cost me a very expensive lesson. The TSS is discontinued but I have a new spare, and usually Dicks or Wally World has the President 20 in stock. Things like this have happened to others, but it was a disappointing end to a real nice day otherwise.

PS I know some of you guys have fished Gamma Panfish line, and so far the 2 lb test has been a real nice line. Glad I bought it to try.

Bob, don’t give up the ship. Maybe a good sport found it. Maybe put out a new thread with a general description of your loss and where you left it to see if someone will send you a PM to coordinate. My dad and I found a very nice St Croix rod and nice reel above an Erie trib years ago. A guy from NC left it and thought it was gone for good. A few message exchanges put it back in his hands and a Cracker Barrel gift card came our way.

Yep, could be worth a try. I’m going over after lunch. What a nice surprise that would be!

Well, the outcome of lost and found was pretty much what I thought - nada. No fishing this weekend as we were on grandparent duty (SO nice to be able to hold the grands after such a long time!) so I scouted around and finally decided on a Shimano Sedona SE 500 fi. President 20s are in short supply right now and the Shimano looked like nice quality and should balance well on the TSS. Weather doesn’t look good for the next few days so have time for it to be delivered and spooled up.
