The early goose hunting season starts tomorrow at Shenango, September 1, and runs to September 25. Hunting is permitted in the Mahaney and Chestnut Run areas from one-half hour before sunrise to 10:00 am. HUNTERS MUST BE OUT OF THESE AREAS BY 10:00 AM. Hunting is prohibited in the Clark Recreation Area, Northstar Marina, the Game Commission Propagation Area, the Bayview ORV Area, and the Shenango Recreation Area. Hunters should maintain safety zone distances in other areas, and visitors recreating should be mindful of hunting activity.
