    Default FYI Shenango

If anyone is thinking of fishing at Shenango right now, be aware that the lake level is 6 ft below summer pool.

Yes it is low. Caught fish yesterday but only one little this morning. Yesterday I fished the edge of the deepest water I could find (the channel) and today it was just a flat. Fished 846 Tuesday and no hits. One thing for sure I wouldn't be putting in a boat right now. The water should rise in temp fast this year with both ends of the lake nothing but a few feet deep. Trouble is finding water deep enough to fish.

I fished Hartford area from shore today. Caught and released 7 small ones. Still early for the migration to shallower water.

Will be interesting to see what happens. A good bit of rain forecast for the next week. Last spring everything was flooded come prime time. I like Raystown a lot, couldn't believe a body of water that large could raise up that much!!!

The lake has come up almost a foot overnite. Gonna be a little muddy around the clay banks today.
