A Virginia angler caught a 22 inch crappie in a mid size lake in South Eastern Va. It was measured by a park ranger but most likely never weighted on a certified scale and witnessed by a proper person. The ranger knew it was a big one but did not understand that it could be a world record. I travel to Va and do fairly well with crappie but wow! I got the information from Va outdoor post and started e-mailing others from that area for information. Twelve to 15 inch crappie are biggies in my book. I think I may have a new crappie hole to try this spring!
