Default HOT SUMMER LAKE ERIE - CRAPPIE REPORT

    keepit100outdoors REPORTS....

THIS TIME OF YEAR IS DIFFICULT TO CATCH MUCH FROM SHORE. WHEN THE WATER TEMP HITS THE 70S AND UP MOST OF THE FISH WE TRY TO CATCH AND EAT HAVE LEFT THE CONFINES OF PRESQUE ISLE BAY AND THE SHORELINE TO HEAD TO DEEPER COLDER WATERS. BUT!!! WITH SOME THOUGHT AND PLANNING YOU CAN STILL NAIL CRAPPIE, SUNNYS, BLUEGILL, AND PERCH... YES PERCH! FROM SHORE.

WEVE BEEN PULLING ALL KINDS OF NICE LARGE PANFISH OUT OF DOBBINS LANDING THESE LAST FEW DAYS. THE CRAPPIE ARE MOSTLY NON-EXISTENT FOR THE MOST PART OF THE DAY BUT CAN BE CAUGHT IN THE MORNING AND EVENING HOURS... THEY ARE IN THE MARINAS AND ALL THESE PANFISH HAVE BEEN HITTING HARD ON GRUBS.

    LIVE BAIT...
    PERSISTENCE...
    LOVE FOR FISHING...

    TIGHT LINES!!!

Thanks for the report. I'll tell my brother. He travels to Erie to panfish at least once a month. I believe he fishes the Coast Guard area or something of the sort. He lived in Erie for 20 years. He should know where Dobbins is.
