Default Im Back....GREENLICK is 100% open water.

    I'm Back....

Well put up the little rods and dusted off the 10 footers. I was told by a good buddy that one of my favorite lakes is 100% open. Gonna uncover the boat this weekend and getter ready to hit the water.

I have not had a opportunity to check out many lakes in my area but would like to see some open water. Can anyone post open fishable water in there area? As a kid we used to catch yellow perch out and there are a few crappie spots that can produce if fished very slow. Minnows under a bobber or a small jig under bobber works best or me. Red worms and minnows on or near the bottom worked for perch.

How is this lake for fishing from shore during the spawn?
My buddy fishes it through ice when it freezes but not open water thanks!

I generally fish it from the boat, but there is plenty of shore to fish. Last year a couple of guys killed the black crappie under the boat launch dock during the spawn in 2 FOW.

Jacobs creek runs into the lake, so the creek can muddy the lake but for the most part it is clearish.
