    Smile South East Crappie Club?

I've noticed there is a Crappie Club in the North East and was wondering if there were any interest in starting a club here in the Berks, Lancaster. Montgomery County and local areas. If you have any ideas or know of clubs in the area please let me know.

I live in NE Pa. and don' know of any crappie clubs. I do know of a Kayak club and they fish only bass and also there is a group that has pan fish tournaments. Home Page If you locate a crappie club, I'd be interested in the info myself. Good Luck, Pop

Yep NEPL is correct, it has tournaments year round. I would suggest that people meet others on the board, and fish with them, and get to know them. You first need to create friendships. Post a place to fish with time and day, and see if others respond to the post.

I am in Lancaster and fish Berks and Chester County lakes. The crappie fishermen down this way don't seem to be as active on the board as they guys from the western side of the state. Like S10Chevy said, it probably starts with some folks from this area meeting up to fish somewhere.

I'm in western Chester county, right off Rt 340 and west of Wagontown. Several electric only lakes near me, Chambers, Struble, and Marsh Creek. I personally don't like electric only lakes. I'm got a Lund Alaskan with a Honda 50, and like to use it. I'm about 1 hour from Blue Marsh, and that's normally where I fish when home. I usually go to Canada twice a year and Virginia twice a year. Tough getting excited to go fishing in PA after experiencing fishing there. Heading to VA this Sunday for a week. Hoping for some open water when I get home. Fortunately, I'm retired and can fish Blue Marsh during the week. Weekends are the pits in the summer with the skiers and such.
