Still catchin em in Central PA

Even tho we had a pretty hefty cold front move thru, with temps dropping 20 degrees or more, it still managed to catch a few this weekend.

Nice job! It was quite a change but what a beautiful day. I some how managed to catch two channel cats today, each about 2' long. On ultra light gear it was a real hoot!! Hope to get up to Pymatuning next week. They say the crappie are picking up in deeper water!!!

I was quite surprised that they were hitting so hard and full of fight after such a strong cold front! Crappie never stop amazing me!

Good for you, nice looking catch. Maybe I could get you to give me lessons. I went up Thursday 25 Sept. It was a beautiful day, rare for Pymie, little to no wind, not too hot, just a great day to be there. Fished deep water all afternoon right up to dark. One nice crappie, a bunch of little perch and a catfish. I was drifting and using jigs. Were you anchored using minnows by chance? I saw several boats doing that over locations I know are quite good. I was pretty far down south. Were you in the north? Again nice job. I didn't get much but had a wonderful day, got home late and didn't have fish to clean, what great day!!!
