I posted this in the crappie section, but figured I'd ask here as well...
I got some Thill ministealths as birthday presents, but have never used them before.. What size weights should I use with them ?? I've got some 1/64th weights but was wondering what you all would use for them...
Thanks in advance !!

it will vary with what size jig or minnow you're using, and how windy it is. i always start light, drop it over the side and see how it sits, then add more if needed. if the water is calm i just want the orange above water. if it's windy i want a little of the brown showing so i can see how it travels on the waves better. i use the thill wagglers if it's choppy or if i'm using a slow retrieve, and i like the shy bites if the water is still, very sensitive, but the stealths are probably a good all around float.
According To The Thill Website It Would Require "2 Bb - 1/32" To Balance. But As Grizzlysteve Said Above It Depends On The Weight Of Your Bait/jig And You May Need To Vary It Accordingly.
Enough weight to make you float very sensitive to a strike. Trial an error.
i like 1/8 every has there own way find what works for you.
Also, test your setup with the weight and the jig in a 5 gal bucket. I recommend 2/3 of your float be under water so thhat it provides less resistance to the fish. Once you have it to the way you like it take notes and write that down. Duplicate the process if you also use a different weight jig sometimes. Find out what is needed to balance it and write that down. Keep the notes in your tackle box so you can duplicate it on the water.
Also take notes (or drawings) on the setup when you add the "Average" size minnow to your setup.
