    Thumbs up Local fishing trip.


    I and my son Bill dragged our float tubes into a walk in only area known as Snake Den Hollow. There are strip pits of different sizes. We got on some fish and despite the long drag, enjoyed the long day. Red Ear, Bluegill ,Crappie ,and an ornery cat filled our day. Ole Mike

    Those are some nice fish and some very good pictures! Very colorful! Walk in only? Whose is the road for in the background? Looks well used.

    Crappicrazy, That perfectly good road in the background is for park rangers and the farmer that leases the pasture ground for hay.
    It is gated and not open for the population to use because it is in Illinois. Illinoisgiller

    fowl hook, Good observation, There are so very few places in the upper half of Illinois where even decent panfish can be found. The politicians haven't found out we have a southern half yet. lol
    Someday I will get mama off the nest and leave this state I would like to love.
