Default Lake Marion, SC help needed

Need a little help. A friend of mine is coming down from Ohio the first week of June and he asked me to take him fishing. I haven't been up to Santee-Cooper for years, but since it is only a 1 1/2 hour drive I figured I would take him up there and try for some of them big bream. Thought about putting in at Harry's and fishing around the diversion canal. Is this a good plan or not? I will take any advice you all can give me.

You might want to post this question in the South Carolina board.

Jim, wish I could help you some but I don't fish the lake. I seen your post on the S.C. board and thought you would get a reply. The right people have not seen it yet. I,ll make a small reply to bring it back to the top of the page and maybe you will a reply.

I tried to get info about shellcracker fishing in Santee a couple of years ago on a couple of different forums and the silence was deafening!!

Jim we did really good one year, where the canal runs into the bottom lake. Try fishing around the markers on the left going out of the canal. We was just using red worms, but they say the Lousiana pink worms are better.
