Thumbs up oh that smell i know what to look for now

well when i usually go fishing for bream i usuallly just walk around the pond that i am at if its possible to do that. well today i was doing that same thing and that smell hits me. you know the one were the grass just had been cutt and the smell of a sweet watermelon that has been just cutt opened. i have found me a bed of bream. and thats the frist time i have ever done that. so i sit my self down and start fishing. it started off great and then the dang blasted turtles show up. so it puts a quick end to that. so just about sundown i drove to across the other side just to make sure were it was. and sure enough when the wind came from that direction you get that sweet smell. i did catch some gills but every one of them were females and i threw them back. i guess the males are still in the deep part of the pond. i do know that they usually spawn on the frist full moon in may which is this weekend but i got one question? just before i left i seen a what i thouglt a whte milky haze on the water what could that have been?

Hey, just fish for those bedders in silence please, it's currently 46 degrees up here, I was out last weekend and the water in lake I was on was 56 degrees, and the spawn is just hopeful wish for the future. I suppose you're going to torture us northerners with photos of tubs of fish, too? Go ahead, give it your best shot, I can take it.
