Some People call this coloration a (excuse the spelling) Chicquen .. chick-a-pen ... Both are .. in my opinion Warmouth ...

Different names all over the country for a lot of the warmouths as there seems to be quite a different colors and sub species (warmouth, stumpknockers, chubs and on & on) ... hit hard but not much of a fight. Get real fat ..

I'm with BIGBEE. Stumpknocker and a Warmouth Perch. I used to catch a boat load of them on the Wekiva River on Beetle Spins.

That big mouth......... yep its a warmouth! I've caught a 3" one on a 5" rapala! I've got a lake close by over-run with them in the shallows and thought about thining them out. Yeah right! Would take me 250 yrs!!!! How are they eatin and lotsa bones? I could prob get 100 a day but all under or around 6". Those look pretty nice!

Good eats as far as whole fish go. Small in length but they can be thick.
