    Didn`t let the rain stop us from havin a good time, me and the wife caught these in the Chowan close to Gatesville.
    She caught the big shellcracker and I caught the Ba$$ ( my biggest ever @ 16 ") while tossing a Rattletrap for Striper`s...........
    Gils , shellcrackers and perch caught in 4 -9 ft of water , nightcrawler under a bobber................
    Released many smaller ones for next year......................saw some big fish jumping / rolling but could not identify them , not biting on anything we had............

    Nice catch Pat! Looks like the perch are moving up the river.
    Since we don't have all that many entries on this particular forum, and the Perch forum seems to have died, how about we post perch catches here too?
    Just a thought.
    I'm still gonna come down that way soon Pat. Are you guys fishing out of a boat?
    Oh yeah, and have people been catching stripers down there?

    Next time you get into the stripers trow a 3 in. storm swim bait at them. They really hate the shad colored. It will beat the rattle trap hands down.
