12" Bruiser Bluegill....biggest I've seen caught with my own eyes. This is my brother's fish and he has huge hands. Well over a pound!

Use to carry a towel so you could wrap them and hold them up on you where you would get the hook out. To big to hold in one hand.
Man and a half wooden boats, fishing those back waters, Waccamaw and 7 creeks in Pireway NC will forever hold some of the biggest war mouth perch you will ever see. AKA > creek crappie.
Folks around SE NC had their own name for everything. Few like you have in your hand make the trips well worth the time.
