Red ears. They had very dark coloration. Some of the fish ive pulled have been the typical golden yellow. And others dark green and black like these. They were alive in the pictures, i let them swim again.

Attachment 126787Attachment 126788Big Barkley Lake shellcrackers we caught a couple of weeks ago. These fish were all close to two pounds apiece.
Nice fish! I know they are bigger than they appear in the picture judging by the size of your fist and the fish. Pretty work.
Thanks Kitt, they were between one pound ten ounces and one pound fourteen or fifteen ounces. Your fish were easily bigger than these, GREAT FISH Buddy. I am proud of these fish though and would've mounted the biggest if it had just been two pounds but came up an ounce or so shy. You're in a GREAT spot on those Suffolk Lakes too!
Nicely done Bigdoc - Great color too :ThumbsUp
14" is now my longest but it only weighed 2 lbs. It was one of 10 over 1.5 lbs that day.
Sorry about the upside down pic. Can't flip it on this iPad.
