    Question Bream on the rivers

I fish about once a week and about 80% of the time I'm on small rivers in the Missouri Ozarks. Don't know why, but I really only do rivers. I've had some pretty good luck with micro cranks and live worms in the past, and am now on a new kick using a popeye jig tipped with a small worm on rivers this year (thanks to you fellers).

My question is what other techniques do some of you river rats use on small, clear rivers for bream? I tend to only fish little side holes after a bend to avoid much current. If you got a river technique for bream you'd like to share, let us know. Thanks

Floats are deadly in flowing water. It's the most natural way of delivering a bait.

i like to freeline a live bait to the structure. float it on top if poss. tiny hooks to keep em light. or float em in a jig tipped under a bobber if they dont hit the top.. seems like i only get one or 2 at a time though and then gotta move on
