    Default What kind of fish is it?


    Me and my son went fishing sun.afternoon,we fish from the bank,with redworms and caught some nice shellcracker's and bluegill's,
    He caught this fish and I have no ideal what it is,anybody care to say?

    looks like a shiner or a shad to me hard to tell from the angle and distance.

    Yea, I'd have to say its a Shiner. Haven't caught one of those in awhile. The last one I caught was a Hamburg State Park.

    Looks like a Golden Rod(Golden Shiner) to me.We catch quite a few of them up here.

    Golden shiner, we catch alot of those on wax worms bluegill fishing here in Indiana.

    I caught 1 yesterday,I'ts a shiner.They are spawning in my area and they are very pesky.Good cut bait for catfish.That's what happen's when ya dump your minnow bucket in your favorite small reservoir or lake.

    i would have never guessed shiner i would love to have a live well full of those for flathead bait nice catch
