    Default hit em hard, pics

Well I let my 11 year old play hookie yesterday so he could spend the day on the lake with good ole dad. We took out the kayak and hit one of our favorite gill holes. What a day we had. Put the kayak in the water at 11:30 am, pulled the kayak out of the water at 3:00 pm after catching at least
100+, most of which were 6 inches or bigger. We took home 18 and left the rest for another day. He sure is good about not having to always take home a limit of keepers, in fact he releases far more than he keeps. Tonight I let him take the fillet knife alone for the first time and he did a pretty darn good job and actually enjoyed doing it. For the last few years he has just helped me with the rinsing of fillets and packaging but now he is getting pretty good with the knife. Looks like good ole dads filleting days might be getting a bit easier :D.

You're lucky as my 2 boy's wont even touch a fish. They will catch them all day if I take them off the hook.Funny thing is they love eating fish.I think from now on they wont eat anymore fish unless they at least take one off the hook.I think i'm spoiling them.Thing's going to change around here starting today lol.
