Default Winter Drop Shot at the Town pond

Got a chance to go back to the pond today from around 11:30-1:30 .
Sunny , temps from 50-57 with 7-12mph west winds .
It got cool a few times in the shade with the wind blowing in my face .
    I took a couple Aji rods , a 5’8” Major Craft and a 5’5” Daiwa . A Daiwa Fuego 1000 , and a Shimano Soare bb2000sspg , both spooled with 3# P line , so I could lift most of the fish up the 4’ bank .
I tried small plastics on a 1/124 jighead , 16-18” above a 1/16 ball weight made fro cutting the hook off a ball head jig .
The drop shot keeps my lure above most of the bottom algae and allow me to fish slow with twitching almost in place if I wanted .
After only a few tail nippers I felt , but no hookups , I switched to a couple of my handtied micro tungsten bead , streamer jigs . Tied on a size 12 streamer hook .
I caught a nice UL green fish on my third cast on an olive with copper bead jig .
I also fish a black jig a few times with a rainbow head , but the fish preferred the olive .
Ended up with 3 green fish , a shellcracker, a bluegill, and a SC/BG hybrid.
I was making long casts , probably 90 feet sometimes, but most of the fish came from halfway in to just a few feet from the bank with one of the smaller bass .
Felt good to be back after them and to figure them out.
