Weather in the mid 80’s , sunny , light winds , with a lake below winter pool level .
Two years ago the Corp of Engineers, who run the lake , announced that during the fall and winter months they would be drawing the lake down to allow work on the dam to be done.
I guess they’re still working on it . The lake is over 8 feet below full pool .
I like it low , once it stabilizes . But at the moment it makes for tough conditions.
I managed to catch thirty total in time we got to fish . With drive time between spots and a thunderstorm running us home an hour early , we got to fish about two hours .
My fishing buddy had a tough time , catching eleven.
Most of the fish were small but fun on ultralight tackle and 2#Ande and 2#P-Line .
A mixed bag was caught including spotted and largemouth bass, green sunfish, bluegills, orange spotted sunfish and a couple small shellcracker.
The temperature had gotten to 86 before the thunderstorm, right after the rain hit , the temperature dropped to 68 . Big drop in about ten minutes.
Fun day even with the day being cut short .

I bet those bass were fun on UL equipment. Gubernent is super slow.
