We picked today because it was the coolest day of the week . Low 90s with light wind until after 2:00 . Then we got a little air movement to help out with the heat .
Were picking our spots now with whatever areas have a little shade.
Our goal each time we go is to catch numbers . We target whatever we can catch , no matter species or size .
Today was definitely a numbers day . Most of the gills were in the 4-6 range .
My fishing buddy using 2# Ande line and a couple of my micro jigs landed 44 fish , mostly gills , with a few small bass .
I ended up landing 52 .
I used a couple of combos today , but most were caught on my 410 Major Craft Finetail Glass rod , paired with a Soare bb500spg and 2# Ande line .
It was a hot and humid day , but fun was had and fish were caught .
A fun day with a good friend .
We fished about four hours , about our limit now days.,
