Default 90 minutes @ The Docks

I spent ninety minutes throwing micro jigs around the docks that are only about ten minutes from the house .
Nice , warm weather with a little wind to deal with . As always
    I took a 4’6” Palms Quattro, paired with a Soare bb500 , and a 5’ Rosewood Tracker, paired with a Shimano Miravel c2000s .
After a few fish I decided I preferred the 5’ Rosewood , but wanted the smaller Soare bb500 reel . So I swapped reels and finished out the morning with the Rosewood/Soare combo . Both had Ande Tournament line on them .
Just didn’t like the bigger reel , even the longer handle felt weird to me . Oh well !

I caught a baker’s dozen, 13 assorted gills , bluegill, shellcracker, and redbreast juveniles. And a decent UL largemouth that I was surprised I was able to lift carefully and slowly by holding the line . Any movement from the bass would have broken me off .
I need to start taking my net that’s in the car with me .

Most of the swelling has gone down on the knuckle this morning, but still some discoloration and soreness reminding me of my incident yesterday.

I mostly had the docks to myself, except for a few non fisher people. I guess most of the fishermen have given up on the docks , with the poor fishing they’ve had lately .
Doesn’t bother me , I enjoy catching the little guys , especially since it’s so close to the house .

Good job. Yeah lifting that bass wouldn’t have taken much to break off.

There’s a lot to be said for being close to home. I was spoiled with 3 ramps within 10 minutes of the house. Those fish look plenty good to me. Glad you got out.
