    Default Weekly Meetup 4 30-25

Today was about numbers again . No big bass , no catfish . All small to medium gills , green Sunfish, a medium shellcracker and a tiny bass . Forty five total , all caught on micro jigs using a 5’2” SeaSir Stream ULF rod or a 5’ Major Craft Aji do rod both with Soare 500 reels and 2# Ande Tournament line .
My fishing buddy caught several nice gills using a Roostertail.
They’re should have been more big gills caught . I’m not sure what was going on .
Areas that produced last week didn’t this week . Two of these areas usually produce year round .
All of the boat fishermen reported light catches also . One guy only caught a gar , another a couple of small bass .
I’ll settle for the little guys , they’re a lot of fun on the right equipment. Beats a skunk .
Some of the more colorful ones .

Guess they are on the move like the crappies are after they spawn .. but still catching them is what it is all about ... good catch and good colors on those gills
