    Default Fishing in the rain

It's something that I don't do very often but forecast called for a 20% chance so I went back to where I had been hammering them the last few trips. This morning I think it was raining all but 20% of the time and I got wet but still managed to catch some nice fish including my first 10"+ Redear of the year. Not as good as the other trips number wise and mostly caught girl gills and small ditch pickles. Should have put the Frog Toggs on from the beginning before I got wet.

Awesome job Jim. Once you get wet in a cold rain I find it miserable. I gotta have a rain jacket on at minimum.

Nice , sometimes a steady light rain turns on the gills .

Real nice fish! The gill has some super colors. I’ll be looking for some of them soon, I hope.

Temps were in the low 50's with light winds but the places I hammered them the day before were not very productive. Redear really put on a show for me ripping drag a half dozen times before I got her in. Big tail was put to good use and small head indicates good growth.

Nice looking fish. The water didn’t look great but the fish were hungry.

Nice catch. If I have rain gear and it's warm, I kind of like the rain. Long as the wind isn't blowing. I find it peaceful.
