    Default Backup Plan

Because of a late TV cable guy , my weekly meetup got postponed today . Hopefully tomorrow.
After lunch I drove to Lake McIntosh, where I caught a few nice crappie last Friday.
The little dock I wanted to fish from was occupied so I moved about 100’ to their right and setup my stool on the riprap.
I was using my 5’2” SeaSir Stream UL , paired with a Soare XR 500spg , spooled with 2# Ande Tournament Yellow line . A 4mm tungsten bead streamer jig in black was my lure .
I tied directly to my jig hoping the yellow line wouldn’t bother the fish .
The 2# Ande line is smaller diameter than the 2# Floroclear I usually used , but not as strong .
It’s manufactured to qualify for IGFA line test records , and will not break over the stated pound test .
The 0.12mm line gave me 5-10 extra casting distance over the Floroclear . Sensitively was pretty good and I could feel what was going on with my jig and every tap .
In a little over an hour I caught five crappies , two small bluegills, a small warmouth, and a small green sunfish.
Oh yeah , I almost forgot , I’m enjoying fishing this inexpensive little rod . The nice fast tip protects the light line I use and casts my micro jigs like a bullet .
And I’ve ordered some Varivas Blue Moon Ajing Fluorocarbon 1.5# that’s 0.090mm thin . I hope I can it to use it .
