    Default Evening Slime trip

After a late lunch , I returned to the Town pond armed with another new rod that arrived today during lunch , after my quick trip earlier.
This trip was only an hour long but was also productive with four nice gills and two bass .
The new rod is a Major Craft Aji Do 1G S502L . I Paired it with a Shimano Soare XR500sspg and 2# Floroclear.
As most of you know , I’m a short rod fan , and I love this little rod .
So much fun catching pond critters .
I had no problem feeling my jig and my catches put a bend all the way through the rod , more at the top , but some of the fish got into the lower section.
A bend that put a big grin on my face !
What a fun little stick !
Total weight of the combo is 183g , right at 6.5oz . I own several reels that weigh that much or more .
I’m looking forward to playing with this one some more .
Unfortunately today is the end of our warm spell , with cooler temps returning, beginning tomorrow.

Good job getting out there today and catching. I was pretty lazy today, I worked hard yesterday clearing land.

That’s a good looking rod, really like the grip and handle. It comes in at lightweight class, bet it’s fun. Those fish are just what you needed to slime it right. Hope the warm temps come back soon.
