Really just something he’d never used before. A somewhat new friend that I met at the saltwater ramp and I went to throw my ultralights around today before the wind got up, and man it did get up. Jim’s been fishing for a long time but never done the tiny stuff, so I had to change that. His wife is also a very good hand with the boat or a spinning rod ain’t the salt water but I only have room for one and she stayed home today. At my house at 7 and the plan was to quit at ten but as usual, the fish had other ideas. We went through some proven areas with hardly a fish for about an hour and a half. They finally started to wake up and we got to be officially busy. The beetle spin helped us find a few to start and we switched over to some small curl tails and my hand ties. We never got into the real big ones but we made up for it in numbers, even doubled once. Jim got the odd man out a couple of times with a nice little largemouth and a good sized shellcracker. We took some pics to share with y’all and left after eleven. So much for the plan. Thanks for coming along. Though it started slow the finish was just fine. Til next time……Skeet
Someone please fix my pictures….Thanks.
