Pretty colors on those fish. Good job.

Beautiful weather today although the wind was more than predicted. 9-19mp and blowing straight down the creek, making it tough to cast upstream.
On my way down the hill , as I got closer to the creek , I thought it was the wind I was hearing, but then realized it was the creek flowing.
The water was up about a foot , making fishing a little tougher , especially with the wind .
Some new underwater snags took a couple of my jigs from me along with my leader .
Like a dummy , I’d forgotten my spool of leader material and left it in the car .
I tied directly to the Island blue Daiwa J-braid and te bites went down, but was able to catch a few more .
I think it did make a difference.
Using a 4’10” Major Craft Finetail glass UL rod paired with my old white Shimano Stradic 1000. A little heavy compared to today’s reels , but butter smooth and with an awesome drag .
Total , I caught one small crappie , two small bass , three bluegills, and eight beautifully colored redbreast . Couple nice ones too .
Great to get out for an hour and a half.

Beautiful redbreast!
